Visco questions sufficiency of five presidents’ report
Italian governor stresses importance of political unity for the economic and monetary union
The "roadmap" outlined in a report by five presidents, Completing Europe’s Economic and Monetary Union, "might not be sufficient", according to the Bank of Italy's governor, who believes more ground needs to be made "on the side of political union".
The report was prepared by Jean-Claude Juncker, in close cooperation with Donald Tusk, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Mario Draghi and Martin Shultz.
