Romania to review calls to ban coin featuring anti-Semite
The National Bank of Romania on Friday said it will review the release of a coin depicting an anti-Semite Romanian leader, after it was accused of racism by the Jewish community.
The central bank said an internal commission had been set up to review the minting of a five-coin series after calls for the coin to be withdrawn from circulation on the basis that it commemorated an anti-Semitic figure.
