Kosovo’s governor arrested

The Central Bank of Kosovo was at the centre of a police investigation on Friday after police officers raided its offices and arrested its governor.

Hashim Rexhep, the governor of the central bank, was arrested at his office in central Pristina on alleged corruption charges after police raided his office and home. The central bank is at the centre of a probe by the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (Eulex).
