SNB’s Maechler to take deputy role at BIS

Senior Swiss official will replace Luis Awazu Pereira da Silva as deputy general manager

The Swiss National Bank’s Andréa Maechler is to become the new deputy general manager of the Bank for International Settlements.

Maechler will take over from Luiz Awazu Pereira da Silva, when he retires from the role in September. The appointment is for a five-year term.
