
Bank of Thailand to start choosing new governor ‘within days’
Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput’s term to end in September

Thailand’s finance minister has said that the process to select a new governor of the country’s central bank will begin “within days” according to reporting by Bloomberg.
Pichai Chunhavajira today (March 27) told reporters in Bangkok that he would soon appoint a selection committee to kickstart the process. He said he had approached Sathit Limpongpan, a former finance ministry official, to chair the committee.
