Trinidad and Tobago adds fifth name to IDB race

Trinidad and Tobago offered a fifth candidate for the presidency of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on November 11, announcing Gerard Johnson as its candidate on the last day nominations were open.

Argentina made its own last-minute intervention into the race the same day, proposing Cecilia Todesca Bocco. She is currently the secretary for international economic relations at the Argentine foreign ministry and is the only woman running.
