Erik Thedéen will become the new governor of Sveriges Riksbank in January. The general council chose him to succeed Stefan Ingves, who will complete his fourth and final term at the end of 2022. Ingves has been governor of Sweden’s central bank since January 2006.
Thedéen is currently head of the Swedish Financial Services Authority, a role he has held since October 2015. He holds a master’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, and has had a career in a number
