People: Sarb appoints new Prudential Authority chief

New Malaysian assistant governor to take office in April, and RBNZ hires chief economist

South Africa: The South African Reserve Bank has appointed a new chief executive of its Prudential Authority, as part of a rotation of its three deputy governors.

Fundi Tshazibana will take up the position as head of the PA from April 1. Current chief, Kuben Naidoo, will move to oversee financial stability and currency. Rashad Cassim will take responsibility for financial markets and the international department.
