New York: Lorie Logan has been confirmed as the new chief of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s System Open Market Account, where she will oversee the central bank’s open market operations.

Logan was already in the role on a temporary basis during the search for a new SOMA manager. New York Fed president John Williams described her as “steadfast” during the recent repo market turbulence.
