Moldovan central bank launches digital auto insurance certificate
National Bank of Moldova moves away from paper to encourage take-up and increase security levels
The National Bank of Moldova is to digitise international motor insurance certificates from January 1, 2025.
The bank said it was switching to a digital solution to make purchasing insurance policies easier and to increase the certificates’ level of security.
The transition from paper to digital will take place in two stages. Between November 1 and December 31, the digital “green card”, also known as the international motor insurance certificate, will also have to be printed on paper. From January
