ECB’s Asmussen demands gender diversity

Jörg Asmussen, a European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member, today made an impassioned plea to end workplace inequality and "strive for more gender diversity" in the financial industry.

Asmussen told a Women in Parliament forum in Brussels that gender diversity brings "new insights, skills and experiences to an organisation" and pointed to the fact that "the majority" of university graduates who achieve the highest grades are female.
