Reserve Bank of Fiji adviser targets 5% growth
The Reserve Bank of Fiji's adviser to the governor, Lorraine Seeto, today spelt out a plan that she believes will push the island nation's annual growth rate to 5%.
Fiji's annual growth rate has bounced back since falling to -1.3% at the end of 2009. By the end of 2012 it had climbed to 2.5%, largely in line with its longer-run trend.
Seeto believes the Fijian economy can go further and laid out a plan for achieving a more ambitious growth rate of 5% at a conference organised by the Fiji
