Bank of Finland paper explains patterns of privatisation in Russia
In a working paper published by the Bank of Finland, author William Pyle looks into the privatisation of industrial land in Russia.
He finds that previous literature on the privatisation of Russian industry overlooks, almost completely, the story of enterprise land rights. This paper explains the path that has led to significant inter-regional variation in the ownership status of lands underneath urban industrial enterprises.
The research uses data from a survey of 359 large industrial firms
