New York Fed - Annual Report (2009)

The New York Federal Reserve's 2009 Annual Report, published in June, showed payments to the US Treasury amounted to $23.6 billion in 2009.

Over the year the New York Fed reported net income of $25.85 billion, compared to $11.86 billion in 2008, after provisions for loan restructuring.


The bulk of this came from open market operations and the Fed's commercial paper funding facility, which together earned more than $4 billion net.
