Hungarian deputy quits to head commercial bank
Ádám Balog will leave his post on July 22 to become chair and CEO of MKB Bank
Ádám Balog will step down as a deputy governor at the Central Bank of Hungary on July 22, before taking over as chairman and chief executive of one of the largest commercial banks in the country, MKB Bank.
One of three deputy governors at the central bank, he is responsible for monetary policy, financial stability and lending incentives, covering the Funding for Growth programme.
Balog joined the central bank at the same time as current governor György Matolcsy, in March 2013, after working
