Former T&T governor blasts successor

Winston Dookeran, a former governor of the Trinidadian central bank, fired a broadside at the institution's current governor Ewart Williams and his economic forecasts, according to local media reports on Monday.

Dookeran, who was Williams' immediate predecessor at the helm of the central bank between 1997 and 2002 and is now an opposition politicisn, said the governor's outlook for the economy was "illusionary."

In his outlook for 2010 delivered in a speech on 21 January, Williams said the
