Most central banks completed risk management review in 2022

Overall, 63% of institutions carried out internal audit and management reviews, 48% a external review

Close to 89% of central banks completed a review of their risk management practices over the previous year, the Risk Management Benchmarks 2023 find.

This was the most common procedure carried out by these institutions to update their preventive frameworks. In total, 63% of participating central banks said they carried out an internal audit review during the period, the same share that implemented a management review.

External reviews of these practices was less common. Just 48% of respondents
