Bailey urges co-operation on cyber risk

BoE governor says cyber risks can “go the distance”

Cyber risk demands a “great deal” of co-operation given its ability to impact multiple jurisdictions at the same time, according to the governor of the Bank of England.

Speaking in an online panel discussion on November 18, Andrew Bailey said cyber risk was the “quintessential risk which knows no borders”.

“We see cyber risk both taking the form of disruption but also the theft of data and/or information,” he said.
