BdF and MAS complete test on post-quantum cryptography

Technology used to secure emails can be adapted for payments, authorities say

The French and Singaporean central banks have completed a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) test to secure emails.

In a statement today (November 5), the Banque de France (BdF) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said they had used a hybrid approach based on recommendations from the French National Cybersecurity Agency and the US National Institute of Standards and Technology. The authorities said they had used PQC algorithms in a Microsoft Outlook plugin, and stressed the compatibility
