This is a fascinating account of the life and career of a great European. It takes the form of interviews of Alexandre Lamfalussy by his son and others, which makes for a very good read. I thoroughly (and unexpectedly) enjoyed the first six chapters setting out his early history, which gives an excellent insight into the man himself. The chosen format, however, means
