Sarb’s Mokate to exit after not securing new contract

Renosi Mokate, a deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb), will step down at the end of her term it emerged on Tuesday.

The central bank said the decision was made by mutual agreement after a consultation period between the Board and President Zuma. The President will advise the Sarb on its decision to appoint a replacement.
