Bank Indonesia’s YouTube channel hacked
Hackers streamed bitcoin-related content before page was restored
The official YouTube channel of Bank Indonesia was hacked on January 21.
The hackers bypassed the bank’s verification measures and streamed bitcoin-related content. The hack lasted at least 45 minutes.
“We would like to inform you that this morning, Bank Indonesia’s YouTube account was unlawfully accessed by unauthorised individuals,“ Ramdan Denny Prakoso, head of BI’s communications department, said in an official statement.
