The director of the National Bank of Ukraine’s financial stability department has become the latest official to resign in protest at its handling of bank supervision.

Vitaliy Vavryshchuk announced late on June 30 that he was resigning from the bank, following nine colleagues who quit earlier in the day. Vavryshchuk said on Facebook: “My own observations about the state of affairs in the NBU coincide with the reasoning of Oleksandr Bevz. Totally sharing the expressed position.”
