Tromp ejected from central bank by board
Curaçao and Sint Maarten governor returns to work only to be denied access
The Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten has dismissed the president of the central bank after he attempted to return to work.
Emsley Tromp, who is currently on trial for tax evasion, returned briefly to his role as governor earlier this week after taking leave of absence while legal proceedings continue.
