China is still growing at a ‘satisfactorily high level’, says governor
"Thailand has been riding on the back of China's economic prosperity," which remains an important contributor to its activity moving forwards, according to Bank of Thailand governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul.
In his remarks at the inauguration of the Renminbi clearing bank in Bangkok, Prasarn insisted China's growth rate is "still at a satisfactorily high level", while the country is "an important engine in support of the growth of the Thai export sector".
