MAS deputy charts path toward new financial products

Loh: integrated capital market offers more choice for investors

Over time, greater integration within and across asset classes in Asia's capital markets will "create opportunities in new financial products, such as through securitisation", according to Jacqueline Loh, deputy managing director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Speaking at the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Asifma) on November 5, Loh acknowledged that "over the last three years, market integration has been taking place in Asian financial markets".
