Saudi inflation expected to fall below 3% in 2014

Saudi Arabia's cost of living index went up by 3% in December compared with the same month in the preceding year, according to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Policy Agency's inflation report for Q4 2013.

"The index registered the highest inflation rate of 4% in April 2013, then it declined gradually due to the regression in inflationary pressures on the groups of transport, restaurants and hotels, and miscellaneous goods and services," the report noted.
