Bangladesh Bank pioneers annual report on green banking

Bangladesh Bank has released its first annual report on green banking, aimed at evaluating the central bank and commercial banks' contributions to green finance in the past year.
The report outlines a number of actions Bangladesh Bank has taken to safeguard the country against "unusual weather patterns, rising greenhouse gas, [and] declining air quality", including the creation of a $26 million fund to refinance lending for "renewable energy generation and other environmentally beneficial
