New York Fed appoints new head of markets group

The New York Federal Reserve on June 21 announced the appointment of a new head for its markets group.

Simon Potter, an executive vice president and the director of economic research, will take on the role as well as becoming manager of the System Open Markets Account - the Fed's liquidity store - when Brian Sack steps down on June 29.
