Provopoulos: Greece must regain competitive edge
George Provopoulos, the governor of the Bank of Greece, on Tuesday urged Athens to undertake fiscal consolidation and make a systematic effort to restore Greece's competitive edge.
Provopoulos said Greece must regain its competitiveness in global markets to overcome its fiscal problems and that what was needed was "an effort that is sustained, concerted and groundbreaking."
He termed Greece one of the most closed economies in Europe, adding that it would be impossible to return to sustainable
