Central Bank of Nicaragua
Established on 28 July 1960, the central bank began operations on 1 January 1961. It is currently governed by the “Organic Law of the Central Bank of Nicaragua”, Law 732, and its reform, Law 789, approved by the National Assembly on 14 July 2010 and 17 April 2012, respectively. The Organic Law establishes as the main objective of the central bank the stability of the national currency and the normal execution of the internal and external payments.
