Turkey: President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan fired one of the deputy governors of the Turkish central bank on May 24, marking the third time the Turkish president has removed a central bank official since March.

Erdoğan dismissed Oğuzhan Özbaș, who had served as a deputy governor since August 2019. He appointed Semih Tümen in his place.
