Thai cabinet confirms PM’s adviser as new governor
Monetary policy committee member to serve as next Bank of Thailand governor from September
Thailand’s cabinet approved the appointment of Sethaput Suthiwart-Narueput as the next central bank governor, a spokesperson confirmed today (July 30).
Suthiwart-Narueput will succeed current governor Veerathai Santiprabhob, whose five-year term ends on September 30 this year. Suthiwart-Narueput will become the Bank of Thailand’s 24th governor after the king’s endorsement.
