Turkish writers accuse new governor of having plagiarised master’s thesis from three papers
Turkey’s president sacked the country’s central bank governor this weekend, and appointed a successor who has since been accused of plagiarism.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent an official letter dismissing the central bank’s then-governor Murat Çetinkaya early on July 6, locally-based reporters said. The Turkish president has been engaged in a long-running dispute with the central bank over monetary policy. Çetinkaya was appointed to a five-year term in the role in April 2016 after
