US and eurozone have seen major falls in net investment, ECB article says
Net investment has fallen sharply since 2013 in the US and even more so in the eurozone, according to research released by the European Central Bank (ECB). The research is presented in an article, due to be published in the ECB’s forthcoming economic review, on the slowdown in eurozone productivity.
Net investment has almost halved in the US compared with its pre-crisis rate, to a yearly average of around 1.7% from 2013 to 2016, the article says. The fall in the eurozone’s rate over the same
