BoE appoints UBS UK head to top banking regulator

Bank appoints two independent members to the Prudential Regulation Authority

The Bank of England’s (BoE) Court of Directors has appointed Mark Yallop, chief executive of UBS in the UK, to the board of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), a BoE subsidiary and the UK’s primary micro-prudential regulator, from December 1.

The court also appointed Sandra Boss, previously a London-based director at McKinsey specialising in investment banking and risk, from September 1. Both appointees were approved by George Osborne, the UK chancellor of the exchequer.
