NY Fed's Checki to retire; Minneapolis hires new head of research
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced last week that Terrence Checki, an executive vice-president and head of emerging markets and international affairs, will retire in the first quarter of 2014.
Checki joined the New York Fed in 1967, and was made an executive vice-president in 1995. New York Fed president William Dudley praised his "important" work in the wake of terrorist attacks in 2001 and the financial crisis in 2008.
