Former Seychelles governor denies drawing double wage
Former governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles, Pierre Laporte, today (September 18) denied any wrongdoing after he was accused of receiving two salaries – one from the central bank, the other from the government – at the same time.
Laporte left the position of governor in March 2012 to become Seychelles' minister for finance, trade and investment. As the position is lower paid, Laporte told Centralbanking.com that he negotiated a severance package to mitigate the wage cut.
