Lithuania fires head of credit institutions supervision department
The governor of the Bank of Lithuania, Vitas Vasiliauskas, on Wednesday fired Kazimieras Ramonas, the head of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department for a "severe infringement of labour discipline".
In a brief statement on the central bank's website, the governor was said to have ordered the disciplinary action in accordance with the Labour Code. Ramonas was accused of "inappropriate performance and excessive bureaucracy while performing his official duties specified in the Regulations
