Boston Fed’s Rosengren clarifies state of US recovery
Eric Rosengren, the president of the Boston Federal Reserve, on Wednesday said the recovery in the United States was not experiencing a "soft path", but a more prolonged period of weakness.
At an event at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, Rosengren said: "Some have referred to the first half of this year as a slow patch in the recovery. I am not sure that phrase is quite right, however, the notion of a slow patch suggests strong growth that has been temporarily interrupted by some
