Asia’s moment

In a crisis where every nation and every region in the world has suffered greatly, it seems strange to indentify winners and losers. However, two years after the start of the crisis, it has become increasingly apparent that, at least in relative terms, Asia has emerged as the biggest winner. As the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank drew to a close in early October, the Fund underlined this fact with its assessment that Asia was leading the global recovery
