Public perception of economy gloomy: BoJ survey

The number of people who believe economic conditions in Japan have worsened has increased, survey results on the general public's views and behaviour, published by the Bank of Japan on Monday, said.

The survey results, designed to gain an insight into the public's perceptions and actions, showed that the proportion of respondents who said economic conditions have worsened compared with one year ago had increased, while the proportion of those who replied that economic conditions have improved
