Israel’s Fischer optimistic on 2011 growth outlook

Stanley Fischer, the governor of the Bank of Israel, on Monday indicated Israel's central bank might revise upward its growth forecast for 2011 following better than expected estimates for 2010.

At the fourth annual conference of the Institute for National Security Studies,  Security Challenges of the 21st Century, Fischer said: "The global economy and Israel's economy are in a better condition today than was predicted a year ago, and much better than was predicted two years ago."

Fischer said
