Finland's Salo to step down

Sinikka Salo, one of four board members at the Bank of Finland, will leave the central bank in October after 20 years.

Salo, who has been a board member since 16 October 2000, will be 62 when she retires.

Salo is at present responsible for payments and currency supply services. During her two terms of office, she has also been responsible for the monetary policy and research departments, the Institute for Economies in Transition and the administration function.
