FSA names new consumer education chief

Britain's financial regulator on Thursday named Tony Hobman, the head of the country's pensions watchdog, as the chief executive of its new consumer education body.

Hector Sants, the outgoing chief executive of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), said he was delighted that Hobman, who spent the last five years at the helm of the Pensions Regulator, was coming on board at a "pivotal time."

Hobman will leave his current job on 14 May.
