Bank of Slovenia – Monthly Bulletin December 2009

Growth in activity in the retail and construction sector indicates the stabilisation of domestic demand, notes the Bank of Slovenia's latest Monthly Bulletin.

However, the report noted that the effects of the decline in activity and demand from pre-crisis level are causing delayed adverse developments in the labour market. The number of registered unemployed in November 2009 was up over 50% in year-on-year terms.
