IMF says yes to second Latvia loan
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved on Thursday a second disbursement of $278.5m for Latvia.
The disbursement is part of a $2.37 billion international rescue facility put together by the IMF along with the European Union (EU), the World Bank, Nordic governments and other bilateral creditors in December. The second pay-out brings the total disbursement to $1.14 billion.
The Fund said that the programme has been adjusted to give greater support to the most vulnerable members of Latvia's
