IMF report notes decline in transparency

The publication rates for some of the International Monetary Fund's country reports fell in 2007, the third annual report on the implementation of the Fund's transparency policy finds.

The report showed little overall change in publication rates for country staff reports in 2007 compared to the previous two years. However, publication rates for country policy intention documents and reports on the observance of standards and codes declined. The overall publication rate remained at 83%.
