Botswana's productivity "embarrassingly low"

Research at the Bank of Botswana, suggests the country's competitiveness and productivity is "embarrassingly low", said the governor, Linah Mohohlo.

Mohohlo made the comments while announcing the mid-term review of the monetary policy statement for the central bank. She cites productivity increases in the world's major economies as a useful weapon in restraining inflation in the face of rising oil prices and geopolitical tensions.
