Mervyn King's Mansion House Dinner speech

In a speech given on 21 June Mervyn King of the Bank of England said urged the government to introduce legislation to reform the Commercial Court following the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International trial. King also discussed the 'lively debate' in central bank communication.

In his annual Mansion House speech King said the "most expensive fishing expedition in history" ended as a comprehensive victory for the Bank of England, both on the substance of the case and on costs.
